What are Yoga for Pregnancy Classes like?
These yoga classes give women a safe and friendly environment in which to adapt to the changes in their bodies, mind and emotions during pregnancy. Yoga can be stabilising and grounding, mothers are empowered with inner strength and confidence in their ability to give birth. Gentle yoga postures, movements and breathing can provide more space for the baby and alleviate pregnancy discomforts. Classes end with deep relaxation where the body can release tensions and the mind can become quiet. Energy is renewed and mother and baby are nourished and at peace.

When should I Begin to do Yoga during Pregnancy?
From 16 weeks of Pregnancy. Before this time rest, relaxation and gentle breathing are encouraged to stabilise the hormonal fluctuations, changes in mood, nausea and tiredness that are associated with early pregnancy.
Do I need to Have Practiced Yoga Before?
No, these yoga practices are all very gentle and suitable for complete beginners as well as those with years of practice.
Is Yoga Safe for Me and My Baby?
Yes! As long as the yoga practice has been adapted for pregnancy and certain practices are avoided e.g. strong backbends and twists. All the exercises in this yoga course are specifically chosen to enhance the wellbeing of you and your baby.
Who is the Yoga Teacher?
Bella Galt is a qualified Birthlight Perinatal Yoga Instructor, Sivananda and Ashtanga Yoga Instructor with over 10 years of full time yoga teaching experience in London, Oxford and internationally. Bella is also a qualified Thai Yoga Massage Therapist.
Classes are small – limited to 5 participants – to facilitate individual guidance.
Please bring your own yoga mat.
